Game is absolutely incredible. Adding this learning curve with various difficulty options and the freedom to practice any single stage from the main menu makes Sin and Punishment one of my favorite score attack games of all time. As the game used a unique control setup, it can be awkward to get used to on a Classic or GC controller. Its unique combination of English voice-overs with Japanese subtitles (preserved in this version) has only added to the enthusiasm for its eventual release here. Take a deep breath, gather your energy and prepare to see why this game is so highly praised. Regardless, I anticipate many hours of fun with this one. The game is short but challenging. I had the same issues but after I beat the game and went back through it, the levels flew by much much faster. !MUST PLAY!!! It's no secret that many Japanese titles never see the light of day overseas. This totally makes up for the lack of any hardcore games for the Wii itself. Sin and Punishment doesn't really need a translation...it would be nice, but in the main game every bit of voice acting is in English, so if you know English you would be alright. It really does remind me of Time Crisis and other similar arcade games where the player has to deal with enemies jumping down from places and sidestepping into different positions that you have to be aware of. What most collectors and consumers want is a single, reliable platform that will host an entire catalog of classic Nintendo games, not a bunch of incomplete platforms. WOHOO!! Just beaten it for first time (much more forgiving than Treasure's usual fare) albeit on 'Easy' mode - haha! It’s over just as you have gotten pumped enough to enjoy a game three times bigger. I really can't get across how much I love this game, particularly the final boss. After I played this game I immediately thought about how cool it would be with wii controls. It's just because I like my Run'n'Gun games a bit more on the adventure-ish side, what other point in leaving your trusty starfighter or state-of-the-art battletank than for freedom of movement. Learning to use both of these weapons efficiently is key; the gun has two modes of aim, one manual and one less powerful lock-on, and they both have their time and place. If we don't get this game on Monday, then the whole world can kiss my ass. A rare and great action game from Treasure in this side of Star Fox 64. If the controls don't hamstring the gameplay (multiaxis aiming and moving is always a tough trick to pull off via natural controller limitations and human desire to not be controlling 4 joysticks simultaneously..... ), then it's GOT to be a great game. I just started playing this game a few days ago, and I really just can't get into it. Sin & Punishment 2 is in the works! Particularly memorable is a scene where Arain takes down an entire Navy in a matter of about two minutes flying around at dizzying speeds on a piece of jagged metal controlled by a psychic friend. You get better as you learn the levels and the tracks.
